Cinema for All – Breaking Barriers Through Subtitles
Artifesto is proud to introduce Cinema for All, an initiative that makes the big screen accessible to everyone.
Too often, entire audiences are excluded: deaf and hard-of-hearing viewers who need captions, newcomers and expats who need English subtitles, and locals who simply want to experience films in their own language. Without subtitles, cinema becomes a closed door.
Cinema for All changes this.
By adding multilingual subtitles to both local and international productions, the initiative ensures that everyone can follow the story—fast dialogues, strong accents, or noisy soundtracks are no longer barriers.
This project is more than accessibility; it is about inclusion, participation, and cultural democracy. A small change—adding subtitles—creates a big impact, opening cinema to locals, expats, and people with hearing loss.
Our goal is clear: to make cinema a shared experience for all.
Artifesto invites cultural venues, filmmakers, and communities to join this movement and build a more inclusive future for film.
